Multifunctional, with intelligent energy management
The Multiplus is an effiecient inverter with pure sine wave, an advanced charger- using adaptive charging technology and a high speed AC transfer switch- all in one compact caseing. The MultiPlus still offers many other functions apart from the ones listed above, these will be explained in the following.
The main output assures dirsuptive usage. In case of a blackout or disconnection from shore-/ generator power, the multiplus easily supplies the connected users. The switch-over takes place in a short period of time (less than 20 Milliseconds), so that a disruptive operation of computer and other technical devices still is guaranteed. The second output only supplies power when an alternating current is available on one of the other outputs. Consumers, that mustn´t discharge the battery, e.g. a water heater, can be connected to this output (a second output is only possible on models with a 50VA transfer switch).
Practically unlimited performance through parallel- or 3- phase circuit
Up to 6 Phoenix 24/3000 units can add high performance when in parallel circuit. Das ergibt beispielsweise bei sechs 24/5000/120 Einheiten 25kW/30kVA Ausgangs-Leistung mit 720 A Ladekapazität.
Three phase- operation
Apart from the parallel connection,three of the same modelled units can be for configurated for a three phase output. Up to three sets with three units can get connected in parallel, only to achieve a large 75kW / 90 kVA inverter- with over 2.000 A loading capacity.
PowerControl – Work with limited generator performence, limited shore- and mains power
The MultiPlus is a very powerful battery-charger. This explains why the MultiPlus takes a lot of power from the generator or the charging power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230 VAC) The maximum of available mains- or generator power can be regulated with the remote panel Multi Control. The MultiPlus has consideration for all other connected ac consumer andoly uses the ´leftover´electricity to charge. This prevents the generator and mains current to be overloaded.
PowerAssist – “performance increase“ of generators and shore supply support
The PowerControl-principle receives a completely new dimension with this function.The function allows the MultiPlus to support weak alternative sources. Load peaks occure mainly over a limited period.In theses cases the MultiPlus secures that a weak mains current- or generator output gets directly compensated with energy from the battery. A sufficient amount of power can be used to reload the battery when load gets reduced, meaning comsumers disconnect.
Four staged adaptive charger and charging two batteries
The main output in connection with progressive adaptive charge-software ensures a powerful charge of the battery system. The software undertakes a fine-tuning of the automatic, three staged charge process to adjust it as good as possible to the current battery status. The software furthermore adds a fourth stage for long periods of time in standby mode. Apart from this, the MultiPlus is capable of charging a second battery by using an unattached trickle charging output gesigned for an engine or generator starter battery ( trickle charging output only with 12V and 24V models available)
Sytstem configuration never was easier
The MultiPlus is ready for operation directly after being installed. In case of having to change the settings, this can be done in matter of only a few minutes with the new DIP-switch-setting. Even a parallel circuit or a three phase operation can be programmed with the DIP-switch: you don´t even need a computer to do so! Still there is the option to use VE.net in alternative to the DIP-switch. As well as that there are various highly progressive softwares (VE.Bus quick configuartion and VE.Bus system) to configurate some new or extended functions.
