AC ELWA 2 is a 3.5 kW continuously controlled water heating device for grid-connected photovoltaic systems

The AC ELWA 2 communicates via Ethernet/ WiFi, RS485 or PWM-in with battery storage or smart home solutions and minimizes the feed-in of solar energy by using excess energy to heat hot water. The battery system and electrical consumers have priority. Decentralized storage and hot water preparation avoid the usual distribution losses, while at the same time providing hygienic hot water preparation.

AC ELWA-E photovoltaic water heating device

AC ELWA 2 communicates with the house's energy management system or the battery management system. As soon as excess energy is detected or the manager releases the AC ELWA 2, energy is stored in the hot water. With this, 10 - 20 kWh additional storage capacity can be realized easily and cheaply. The installed battery storage or the energy management system can be selected in an easy-to-use web interface. The desired hot water temperature can be set with a rotary knob.
