Operation
The charging current distributor allows charging of two batteries simultaneously. As soon as the engine starts and the starter battery reaches 13.7 V, the distributor is activated so that two separate batteries (starter and secondary battery) can be charged at the same time.
If the voltage drops below 12.8 V (e.g. when the engine is turned off), the distributor is deactivated and the batteries are isolated from each other. This system ensures that the starter battery is not discharged. Additionally, it protects the sensitive electronics connected to the secondary battery form voltage spikes that can occur when the engine starts.
Connection scheme
Connection is very easy, the distributor has 3 outputs:
- 1x plus (+) starter battery
- 1x plus (+) secondary battery
- 1x ground (-) (black cable)
